The Twilight Walk sees former patients, local residents and hospital staff complete a 1k, 5k or 10k walk along Bournemouth seafront at sunset. It is hoped this year’s walk will top last year’s total and raise even more money for this worthwhile cause.

Lindsey Sturman, from the fundraising team, said: “The Twilight Walk has now become one of our favourite events. It is a fantastic evening with men, women and children of all ages and of all levels of fitness donning their walking shoes and turning Bournemouth Promenade pink for women.”

Consultant Gynaecologist, Alex Taylor, said: “Breast cancer, gynaecological cancer or miscarriage affects a lot of us, either directly or indirectly. There is so much that can be done but we need your support.”

Registration forms can be picked up from the fundraising office in the main entrance at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital or you can download a copy online. Registration costs £15 per person. Fancy dress is optional.

MINISTRY COMEDY PRESENTS DAN MITCHELL – LIVE AT THE ROUNDHOUSE! Dan Mitchell headlines the launch of Ministry Comedy’s exciting new night at the Roundhouse Ministry Comedy is opening its doors on Saturday 8 June 2013 at the Roundhouse Hotel, Bournemouth, with an exciting line-up of comedians, headlined by Dan Mitchell, finalist on ITV’s “Show Me The Funny”.

Full support will be provided by Angela Barnes (winner of the BBC New Comedy Award), Larry Dean, (Bath Comedy Festival New Act winner), Tom Glover and Adam Money. Headliner Dan Mitchell has been described as “Welsh, epileptic, and very hairy. He is a highly creative and original thinker with an obvious love of language, animals and cake.” Also performing at Ministry Comedy’s opening night will be Angela Barnes, 2011 winner of the BBC New Comedy Award and “a brilliant new comic with an excellent on stage persona. Her acidic tone of delivery and deftly crafted, punchy material make for a very funny set” (Trevor Lock). Supporting Dan and Angela will be Tom Glover, a West Dorset comedian who is “"likeable, professional and hilarious. Funny and original material that would charm any audience” (Dorset Weekender) and Adam Money, who has been described as a “Cornish Rhod Gilbert!” (Buffalo Comedy Club).

Your compere for the evening will be Larry Dean, who won the Bath Comedy Festival New Act of the Year 2013 and is “genius with the audience…knows how to warm you subtly with a bit of cheek, and then blast you into a bit of insanity” (Stagewon). This is your opportunity to see some of the finest comedians around!

Reading Festival is OFF ON TOUR and coming to Bournemouth!
